Hailing from a late 16th century design which was employed across Europe well into the 17th century, this fine dueling blade is sure to have made it's fair share of high seas appearances. Pretty as it may be, the reality is that the rapier is a very deadly hand-to-hand combat weapon, perfectly suited for the swift moves of the duelists of the day. Many hilt forms were tried early on like this three ringed swept hilt. The grip is bone, with a wire wrapping, making for a very secure grip. This is a light, fast and deadly sword with a classical design.
